you aint gotta be a religious nut to give the institution of black churches credit for these beautiful exhibits of soul our parents gave the world- i say our parents because the farther away we got (from the south, from the church, from the struggle and grit that made these voices resonate far beyond our ghetto existences, and ultimately from ourselves) we lost that gift....as happens with anything you take for granted.

I have always loved this song since I was a child. Had been looking for it for years. I had another CD that I bought years ago but it did not contain this song and I was so disappointed because it’s a beautiful classic. I finally found this Song on Amazon , Received it yesterday and I have been playing it and Hypnotized ever since.I cannot understand why she is not acknowledged when you think about all the artists from back in the day in our R&B history. Her story should be on Unsung. Has she lived long enough I’m sure she would’ve been up there with Aretha, Patty, Gladys, Phyllis , Anita, Stephanie, and all of our beautiful soulful and most talented women.Gone much too soon but will never forgotten
