Hands down, Italy`s most celebrated drummer!! Has collaborated with Jazz legends such as Billy Cobham , Bobby Hutcherson , Pat Metheny Phil Woods, Chet Baker and many more. Holds the Chair of Jazz Drums at St. Ceceilia Conservatory in Roma. This was his first album as a bandleader. I have " Embraceble You ", a 1988 Phil Woods album featuring Roberto on drums. A great album!!!

I’m currently working on a new "Jazz Flavours" cassette compilation from 1988, and one of the songs from this album was on the tape! This is definitely a 94Q Jazz Flavours classic! I haven’t spun this album in a while. Great contemporary jazz /fusion by the Italian drummer and composer, with many many credits to his name. I have a few others by him somewhere, including one from 1987 called ‘Ask’ and one from ’89 called ‘Luna.’
